Celebrate the 138th year of the Corowa Spring Show on Sunday, October 9.
With a fun-filled program of lots to see and do, organisers are crossing their fingers for a beautiful spring day for this much-loved annual event.
The entertainment begins at 10am with something to offer the young and young-at-heart.
Why not start by checking out the magical mystery of Troppo Magic?
Troppo Bob delivers a spell-binding show of verbal and visual comedy along with some good-natured audience interaction and magical experiences.
Get up close and personal with scales, feathers and fur with a Wildlife Display from Michael Alexander.
Learn more about crocodiles, pythons, wallabies, owls and more through the mobile zoo display and educational show.
The Climbing Wall is fun for all ages and is back this year after a few years absence.
Strap yourself in and test your skill, challenge your friends and see if you can make it to the top.
If you’re after something a little less adventurous, but just as much fun, try out the pony rides or visit the revamped Animal Nursery.
And if you have a special pet of your own, then consider entering the Pet Show to be held at 12.30pm on show day.
The Pet Show is always very popular, attracting a great assortment of pets and giving their proud owners a chance to show them off.
The fun continues with the much-loved array of side-shows and rides and of course the Main Pavilion will be bursting at the seams with entries in the cooking, crafts, fruit and vegetables, horticulture and photography sections – just to name a few.
The Corowa Showgirl/boy Competition will be judged at 1.30pm in front of the grandstand with sections for Miss and Master Tiny Tots (1 to 2 years) right up to Miss Corowa Teenage (15 to under 18 years).
And of course, true to the tradition of the country show, the agricultural sections will again be well-patronised.
This year the Sheep Section brings the promise of prize money for Champion and Reserve Champion categories and for the Championships of Interbreed rams and ewes and groups of three.
Entrants will also vie for the coveted Supreme Champion of Corowa Show and the most successful exhibitor.
So much to see and do at the Corowa Spring Show and even a chance to win with a lucky gate prize including accommodation at ClubMulwala and vouchers to spend.
Just write your details on the back of your show ticket as you come through the gate and place it in the entry bucket at the Secretary’s Office for your chance to win.
The lucky gate prize winner will be drawn on show day along with the winner of the Corowa Spring Show raffle who can enjoy accommodation at Winbi Resort in Moama complete with a cruise on the Paddlesteamer Emmy Lou at Echuca.
Just one of many great reasons to clear your calendar and make your way to the Corowa Spring Show on Sunday, October 9.
