Yarrawonga Comedy Gala

September 22, 2016

Dave O'Neil will feature at the Yarrawonga Comedy Gala hosted by Yarrawonga College P-12 at ClubMulwala.

Side-splitting, hair-raising, tummy-tickling – whatever kind of laughter you’re after, the Yarrawonga Comedy Gala on Friday, October 14 is the place to find it.

Yarrawonga College P-12 is hosting some of the biggest names in Australian comedy for a one-night only fundraiser to be held at ClubMulwala.

Bookings are now open for the 18+ event, with the ticket price of $35 a small amount to pay for a great night of laughs while supporting the college’s ‘Greening Our Paddock’ Project.

Funny men Dave O’Neil and Evan Hocking will feature at the Yarrawonga Comedy Gala along with the very surprising Nelson Twins.

Dave O’Neil is no stranger to lovers of comedy, having featured regularly on stage and on our television screens for many years.

O’Neil has been in the business for more than 20 years, becoming one of Australia’s most recognised stand-up comics.

Apart from appearing at no less than 15 Melbourne International Comedy Festivals, O’Neil has featured regularly on his shows including Adam Hills In Gordon Street Tonight, Good News Week and Spicks & Specks.

Chris and Justin Nelson are twin brothers and – put quite simply – they’ve got beards.

But that’s not all, they also happen to be a unique and hilarious comedy duo that has been performing to rave reviews for the past seven years.

From humble beginnings, the twins have fast become one of the most sought after double acts in Australia for their irreverent and cheeky humour.

Melbourne comedian Evan Hocking heads to Yarrawonga fresh from a successful Melbourne Fringe Festival solo show ‘Slice of Evan’.

Hocking started on radio before venturing into stand-up and quickly becoming a favourite in sporting clubs and comedy events across Victoria.

He is described as having ‘punchy delivery mixed with observational humour and storytelling’ sharing with audiences the experiences that have shaped his life in a way that will have the audience in fits of laughter from beginning to end.

Hocking is sure to be a favourite with Yarrawonga comedy fans who will be lining up to make sure they get tickets to the Yarrawonga Comedy Gala on Friday, October 14 – 7.30pm for an 8pm start at ClubMulwala.
